if I select any date that should be reflect on both the canvases
Obiee
in Obiee we used to create presentation variables and same presentation variable name will be assign to the both reports and creating the prompt with the same variable. We can achieve in obiee analytics dashboard

In DV, the "parameter" is the equivalent of the presentation variables you have in "classic" analyses and dashboard.
You can read more about parameters at
Because you have different data sets in your 2 canvases, you can't just pin your filter at the workbook level directly, because that would be a column of one of the datasets.
You can use a prompt to set the value for your parameter, and then you can use the parameter everywhere you need it, in each visualization of your canvas or even setting a filter based on parameter value.
Give it a try, it should work pretty easily (you just need to get used to the new names).

OAS 6.4 (2022) is out of support being more than 2.5 years old.
Parameters are a OAS 7.0 (2023) feature, and they kept evolving with more pieces added over time.
If you use DV, it’s very important to have a yearly upgraded planned because all the changes between OAS releases are mostly DV features (packaging 12 months of changes released on OAC every 2 months into a single OAS release).
Therefore it’s simple: time to upgrade to OAS 2024 (7.6), and already plan another upgrade for May-June 2025.
OAS is generally released in March/April, give yourself 1-2 months to evaluate the changes and quickly test all works and then upgrade your environment to benefit from all the features.1

For the benefit of all forum users and also the contributors who are here to help - can you please manage your two different requests in two different forum threads?
Keep this one reserved and purpose-oriented for the filter topic.
Create a new one for what you're trying to do with the BAR file / migration. Provide concise and sufficient details in each thread. Only you are sitting in front of your system and n other forum participant has all the information available you have.
Please keep the forum tidy and usable. Thanks!

Hi Christian Berg,
Noted will follow.
My doubt is if we are moving from obiee 12.2.1.4 to OAS 7.6 is it mandatory to export the bar file. Or is there any other way if the bar file generating utility is not working.

Agreed on the 1 issue per thread to make the community tidy.
To close this out.
The OAS Upgrade Guide provides two options.- In-place Upgrade
- Out-of-Place Migration (Migrate snapshot/BAR)
For errors/issue, open a new thread or an Service Request, if appropriate.
