DEV FDI connected to HCM PRod

Question

Hi,

I have 2 FDI instances, one for Dev and one for Prod. The Dev one is connected to the HCM dev of my client which has been last updated 10 months ago… and the HCM instance is used for different stuff so it can't be updated monthly as I would like to…

Is there any harm to connect my FDI Dev to HCM Prod even if my FDI prod is already connected to the HCM prod environment ? Am I allowed to do it ?

No, there is no harm in connecting FDI DEV to HCM PROD. For detailed steps on updating the source details, please refer to the following document:

After updating the source details, ensure a full load (Reset and Reload of Warehouse) is performed to retrieve data from PROD into FDI DEV.
