I have enabled descriptive flexfield for expenses based on expense type selection

I have enabled descriptive flexfield for expenses based on expense type selection for 2 expense types to display the same value set(free text) to capture values captured in another system. I am seeing 2 values for the same field in the subject work area of expense transactions realtime report. . If I add 1 field, i can only see the filed populated for 1 expense type and if I add the second field, I am seeing data in 2 columns.
I would want to have a single column for it in my report
Please advise.

Is it possible to share a screen shot of what you are seeing and what is your expectation? Do you want to concatenate the data in two columns and display it as one?
Thanks.

HI Mandeep,
I would prefer having a concatenate the data from the 2 columns and display it as one.I have attached the screenshot. Please advise.

You can use concat to achieve this.
Check an example on below:
How create a column by concatenating multiple columns in otbi — Cloud Customer Connect
Thanks.

Since both the columns have the same name and same data(The field is getting populated for one expense type in one column and for 2nd expense type in 2nd column), we would want to have 1 single column for the ID for both expense types. Will the concatenate feature work here?

It should work right. It will display the data only for entered DFF based on expense type other one will be blank. Can you give it a try once?
Thanks.
