We've recently came across a situation, when I and my teammate was making modification to the same DV but to different Canvases, both our changes were getting lost/overwritten. Later we realized that two person can't make changes to the same visualization.

Please implement a mechanism like locking a DV until the user is making change and not letting others to change. Display who has locked the DV (allow messaging/Chat to request unlock) and Admin should be able to override. The lock should be unlocked automatically and saved after 10 mins of inactivity if someone requests for editing else don't unlock or save .

Use Case and Business Need

Parallelly doing DV changes . Ones effort is getting lost by some ones changes.

Please describe a use case in which this idea would help you or your business:

Two users attempt to work on the same DV at the same time. IMHO: Fixing this is urgent.

Thanks for adding! We found this last month and its basically restricting us.

We need this functionality as well as we sometimes have more than one author responsible for maintaining the same DV. We can manually notify other authors before we edit, but sometimes that is not always possible.

We have same problem. We're on OIA 23B. Did anybody managed to find a way to allow multiple authors to edit at same time ?
