Hi Group,
we found an error when we upload a png file in our new environment,
but it's ok when we upload the same png file in another environment.
The message is:

We may have to generate browser and analyze the issue further. It will be better you log a SR for this issue.

The error message "Unexpected file extension type PNG found" suggests that the new environment has restrictions or misconfigurations related to file extensions. Since the same PNG file works in another environment, the issue is likely environment-specific.
Possible Causes & Solutions:
- File Extension Restriction in OAC
- Check if the new environment has security settings that restrict certain file types.
- Go to Console → System Settings → Security and verify the allowed file types.
- If PNG is restricted, add it to the allowed list.
- Browser or Cache Issue
- Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser.
- Test uploading the file in Incognito Mode.
- Corrupt or Incomplete File Upload
- Ensure the PNG file is properly formatted and not corrupted.
- Try re-saving the PNG file using an image editor and re-uploading it.
- OAC Version or Patch Differences
- The environments might be running different OAC versions.
- Check the OAC version in both environments (Console → About).
- If the new environment is outdated, consider updating it.
- Permissions Issue
- Ensure the user role in the new environment has permission to upload images.
- Test with an Admin user to see if the issue persists.
- File Name or Encoding Issue
- Check if the file name contains special characters or spaces.
- Rename the file with a simple name (e.g.,
test.png
) and try again.
- Check OAC Logs for More Details
- If you have access to the logs, check for any related error messages.
Next Steps:
- If the issue persists, check Oracle Support for known bugs or patches.
- If possible, compare configurations between the two environments.
Let me know if you need further help!

Very useful & helpful information.

Welcome to the forum,
Do you mind sharing a screenshot of where you restrict, or allow, a PNG in Console > System Settings > Security?
Because I don't see that in OAC, and I also don't remember having seen that (but right now I only have a “special” instance handy, therefore it could be something on that instance)
The same would apply to how to check the version in OAC via Console > About: there isn't such a thing in OAC as far as I know (the "About" is on the menu clicking the user profile icon on the top-right).
That reply looks strongly like AI generated content: is that the case? If it's the case, at least add a note saying it's generated by AI.
Because right now I struggle to see how useful or helpful it is if not really valid for OAC…

Neither OAC nor on-prem have options under the security section to restrict by file type (I manually confirmed).
Agree looks like AI generated garbage.
