OAC Indexing Crawl - Default Datamodel Crawl fails
Hi,
We use RPD in our OAC instance. When create BI reports using Subject Area, search function works fine where as while creating a Workbook it does not work. When we checked the Indexing, Default Datamodel crawls fails even when we run the crawl manually. We are not sure Crawl fails is the issue for search in DV. Is there a way to get the details of Crawl fail? How can run the Crawl without fail?
Please suggest.
Workbook search
Thanks.

The DV search functionality works differently compared to the search functionality on classic analytics.
For a column name search to return results in DV(on the home page search bar as well as on create project page) , following conditions should be satisfied:
1. The column should exist in the Presentation layer of the RPD.
2. The catalog and Data model crawl should be successful.
1. Navigate to DV Console
2. Click on Search Index
3. Navigate to Data Model
4. Set a BI Service Administrator user as "User to Run Crawl As"
5. Verify if Data Model Crawl completes fine.
6. Once the Data Model Crawl completes, verify if the search works.3 -
Thanks @SivaB -Oracle.
We did that before, but unfortunately could not get success. This time we tried using a different User with the same privileges, and it worked.
System is not considering the time what we have provided, it is randomly picking up and running crawls. Not sure if others also having the similar issue on Indexing.

Do you have a support ticket open?
The datamodel crawl failure needs to be resolved. Did the RPD come from OAS, and has the instance of OAC had security imported via a barfile/snapshop?
