Hello,

I am trying to create a report that joins the subject areas Subledger Accounting: Journals Real Time and General Ledger: Journals Real Time. It works fine up to the point I add the a supplier DFF from the Journals Real Time subject area. The error message is as follows —

Details: ADFException-3007: The View Object "FscmTopModelAM.FinGlAccountsCodeComboAM.CodeCombinationPVO" is used as the destination of more than one View Link. (HY000)

Is there a way to resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Walter

Error joining subledger and general ledger

    Hi @Walter Gess,

Welcome to the Oracle Analytics Community.

Quick question: Have you taken at least one measure from each of the subject area?

    Thank you.

I am new to OTBI so am not sure what specific fields would be defined as a "measure." However, I am using fields from both subject areas and I only get an error when I attempt to use the supplier DFF from the GL journals subject area.

please add a measure column from the subject areas that will resolve this issue

    Hi @Walter Gess,

By definition a measure is a value applied to dimensions, such as a count of users, Invoice Amount, Journal Total Entered Credit, Journal Line Accounted Amount CR etc.

In OTBI SAs if an attribute is colored as Golden, those are normally measures. here's an example from the GL Journals SA.

    Hope this help.

    Thank you.

One suggestion I have had success with, is to use both subject areas in a complex/union query. Filter SL accounting subject area where sources are SL applications, and similar filter GL subject area not to include SL source applications (filter on journal source).

Then you can independently build as necessary. So for example AP coming in from subledger you can add in something like invoice #/id in the design on SL side, then on GL side just use a formula that brings back a blank value (use double apostrophe). ''

Thank you @Bhaskar Konar for the guidance on measures. I did make sure that both subject areas included measures. Unfortunately, that did not resolve the issue as I am still receiving the same error message. Still working to see if I can resolve this. Thanks again.
