Workforce Core join Payroll balance and Salary data into one

We would love to see a custom HCM workforce dataset that joins the Payroll Balances and Salary data to the Workforce Core Subject area, similar to the Custom Account Analysis delivered dataset in FDI. Our HR business partners would benefit greatly from this combined data set. Example: We have commissioned employees who so not have salary data, but their salary information is found using the payroll balance subject area in FDI. If we could easily join these together we could perform analysis for HR as a whole.

@Sam Reinhart - FDI allows to use Salary Base subject area with payroll balances at dimensions like BU/LE/COUNTRY/DEPT/TIME etc. You need be mindful of time dimension filters that you must use in the analysis. Can you provide more details on what is that you are not able to do today ?

@Nupur Joshi-Oracle We have not been successful joining the Salary Basis and Payroll Balances subject areas together. Our sales population does not have a salary in the Salary Basis subject area because they are commission based, therefore Payroll Balances is the only subject area we are able to see their salary (based on what they've been paid out in the payroll data). We want to understand the year over year comparison for all employees. We can view the annual salary but it only displays current year data because we are using a payroll action effective date as our time dimension. When we join them we are also seeing odd things like blank columns and data not returning for some population. We'd love to meet with you and walk through our use cases to see if you have a better perspective on how to achieve a total compensation view.
