Hi,
I have problem and I would ask for advice.
We have OBIEE 11.1.1.7.131017 Version and we want upgrade to 11.1.1.9.160719, but first we want create clone our OBIEE for example Instance 2 - TEST INSTANCE.
Is there any way to perform a clone of the current OBIEE instance? This will be our test instance. And the second instance with raised version will be productive instance.
Can someone have done similar process and has some documentation / tutorial to make a clone or useful information?
Thanks for response.

Hi
I don't know if this is still something you are still looking for but what I have done in the past is because of the portability of applications in a linux or unix environment,I :
- Copied the entire directory of the application to another machine similar os (shutdown first)
- Made changes to the machine name in following files (replace old machine with new machine)
- nodemanager.properties
- biee-domain,xml
- topology.xml
- startManagedWebLogic.sh
- stopmanagedWeblogic.sh
- config.xml (/user_projects/domain/domainname/config)
- Start obiee and modify the machine name in console
- Modify the data sources in console
- modify the scheduler in em
And bob is your uncle!!!
