Consumer Users Creating Watchlists In FDI

The watchlist functionality is critical for us in order to provide a quick overview to the users and drive action.

The watchlist functionality is absolutely critical for us, we would need to have it enabled for consumer users so that they can create they own watchlist based on their needs, this will improve user experience and make sure that the data in FDI are driving actions.

We are also interested in having this feature, where in a consumer can create their own watchlist or subscribe to a watchlist of their interest

According to the Oracle University training course called 'Data Visualization on Oracle Analytics Cloud', section 'Group Visuals Using Watchlists', there is the following explanation of how to give consumers watchlist access:

"By default, consumers can't create a watchlist.
But if you want them to be able to, first, create the Watchlist Creator Oracle Analytics Cloud custom application role, and add the Create and Edit Watchlists permission to the role.

Second, assign the Watchlist Creator application role to DV Consumer."
