OTBI Banner - 24D

Question

Hi,

We have recently received the 24D update in one of our development instances.

In OTBI we have noticed a new yellow banner at the top of the 'Home' page in OTBI. Is there a way for us to remove this banner from our view by default? We know that users can remove the banner by clicking the X button, however we would like this banner to be removed by default.

The banner reads 'Attention, the Marketing Segmentation and Scorecard features are deprecated and will be removed in a future release.'

We have the same issue in all of our environments, including PROD.

You can "x" out of the banner and it goes away, but will return when you log back in.

Oracle has identified this as a Bug with no target fix/release date for the same.

Hi Adam,

I noticed this also when our non production environments were upgraded to 24D. The message seemed to disappear sometime in the second week as I purposely did not click on the 'X'.

I agree having someway to hide or disable this before the 24D Production upgrade would have been ideal as we dont use Marketing Segmentation and Scorecard. Asking OTBI users to click on the 'X' is not practical.

I raised an Oracle SR at the weekend in the chance there was something we could disable it but they directed me to this Oracle CCC post which is the process flow for General Guidance from the new Support Portal so hoping someone has figured some way of disabling it.
