Organization Name

Verizon

Description

Have the ability to send alerts/notification via email or text message when our scheduled jobs fail and why our scheduled jobs fail.

Use Case and Business Need

For efficient management of our scheduled jobs and sequences, we would like to have the ability to send alerts to specific users when jobs fail and also to troubleshoot by being notified of the reasons why the jobs failed.

More details

Currently, there is no way for us to be alerted when our scheduled jobs in OAS DV. We will have to manually check each job as per scheduled to ensure they run successfully. Furthermore, when the jobs do fail, there is also no way for us to know why they failed as the logs do not have that level of detail

When can we expect a rollout for the alerts?

I upvote this feature. It is a critical requirement for our business.

  • @Angel Shipp Would email notification on failure be sufficient?

Angel worked on my team when this was submitted (but isn't anymore). Email would be good as a reactive notification, but we would really like a dashboard to be able to see all failures easily in one spot (and be able to filter as needed - like a DV report.)

  • Hi Greg, this is a great suggestion. Currently, the best way to show a comprehensive overview of job failures is through the Jobs page. Admins can view all jobs and all schedules across the environment, while non-admins can only see their own jobs and schedules. Can you please create a separate idea lab request for this? Thanks! @Greg Faris
