obiee 11g, upgrading database version from 11g to 12c

HI OBIEE experts
Our current OBIEE version is 11.1.1.7.150120, and our current Oracle Database is version 11g
We are planning to upgrade database version to 12.1.0.2.0.
Will our current OBIEE installation work after the database upgrade ?
Do I have to upgrade WLS(current version 10.3.5)?
Can we simply import the repository created by the RCU utility ?
Can we simply import (MDS & BIPLATFORM schemas) or any checks need to be made?
Any important task we need to consider while doing the database upgrade?
Can you point me to any related documents?
Some of you might have done this exercise so if you can through some light that would be of great help.
Thanks
Ss

Hi,
OBIEE 11g (11.1.1.7) can work with a 12c database without problems.
If your system is a prod system and so look to have a certified configuration (based on the certification matrix) you will have to upgrade your weblogic to 10.3.6.
If in your upgrade you end up with exactly the same database just on 12c instead of 11 there is nothing to change. If you are going to change the hostname / IP etc. then you will have some work to do as your current DB used by OBIEE will disappear at some point, so you will need to change all the places pointing to the DB to link to your newly installed 12c service instead of the old 11g.

thanks for the reply Gianni, yes 12c Databases is on new servers so there will be hostname/IP etc changes.... do you or any others had this scenario? if yes could you please share the steps/ issues faced/ configuration changes needed etc...
my main question
Can we simply import the repository created by the RCU utility ?
Can we simply import (MDS & BIPLATFORM schemas) or do we have to run the RCU on new 12cDB?
what all configuration changes needed?
thanks
