How to report Last Warehouse Refreshed Date on a Dashboard with other data and filters on it?

I have a HCM Manager dashboard with a bunch of required filters, such as User Person Type = Employee, and so on. I need to report the last warehouse refresh date on the same canvas so that the users are aware how what data they are seeing. To do that, I used the Common - Warehouse Refresh Statistics subject area, created a calculated column with the formula MAX(Last Warehouse Refresh Date), and added the calculated column to the report.
Obviously, the Common - Warehouse Refresh Statistics subject area is no way connected to the HR - Workforce Core subject area (from where all my HR reports are built). But when I run the dashboard, it is trying to join the two subject areas and filter on User Person Type = Employee, and doesn't find it. It doesn't fail, but blanks out the last refresh date. It works when no value is selected for the User Person Type.
How do I display the last refresh date on a functional dashboard like this, where filters will be there on functional columns?
