NSAW - EPM Connector

How to correctly apply filters on EPM cube dimensions and metrics in NSAW ?
When connecting from NSAW to EPM Cubes, we are able to establish the connection successfully, also see the cubes, and underlying dimensions and metrics. However, when trying to query specific cells in the cube, we’ve noticed that we need to set filters with very precise combinations in order to retrieve the data.
Is there any documentation that explains what filters to use when querying EPM Cubes from NSAW? Or could anyone provide guidance on best practices for setting up these filters?

I would suggest having an EPM person create a Smart View Retrieve and use that to guide you into using a combination of filters and rows and columns. The Hierarchy columns to filter bar should support Selection Step.
It takes a lot of picking away to get data and really is not that great of performance.
I have been told the connector is being redesigned to improve performance. Note you will not be able to join EPM data with NSAW data.0 -
Thank you, @Wayne Van Sluys I've worked with Smart View integration and am familiar with retrieving data that way. With the NSAW connector, I am able to successfully connect, view the cubes, explore the dimensions, and even see the data. However, when it comes to actually extracting meaningful data, it seems to require very specific filter combinations. That’s the area where I am looking for more clarity or guidance.
