FAW Idle Timeout
Comments
-
We cannot see the status of the bug. Do you know when this problem will be resolved?

There is now a setting in the System Settings tile of FDI console where a Service Administrator can set the value from 5-480 minutes. By default, Oracle sets it at 60 minutes.

Can we get an update on this? We are also experiencing this as well.

It will timeout based on fusion SSO settings irrespective of whether you are idle or working. This is very frustrating, and it created a very bad experience for business users in between KUT sessions. This needs to be worked out by Oracle team.

Agree with the above comment, the timeout issues in FDI are very frustrating. I'm constantly timing out while actively building a dashboard, frequently with only one instance of Oracle open.

@Gina DiVenti did your admin increase the timeout value? How long is it set for?

@Bret Grinslade - Oracle Analytics-Oracle Is this the setting you're referring to? Ours is configured to 120, but we’re seeing timeouts much more frequently than that.

Hello everyone,
You'll have to submit a SR under the Fusion support team, not FDI, as I believe the timeouts (whether one is active or inactive) are based on a default timeout setting on the Fusion pod side. Just request with Support to increase the fusion application timeout to "N" minutes and provide them the URL to the Fusion pod that FDI is connected to.

Just to clarify, are you saying there aren’t timeout settings specific to FDI, and that we’re subject to whatever timeout is configured on the Fusion side? If that’s the case, it’s a bit concerning, especially since Fusion may require a shorter timeout window than those of us working in FDI throughout the day. It’s been challenging to lose work due to timeouts while actively building a product. I do understand that Modern View has auto-save, but there are times during exploration or testing when we intentionally don’t want changes saved automatically.
