Recently did an upgrade from 6.4 to 8.2 with the latest SPB.
Found that analytics app would not work. Could sign into Analytics via DV, but any attempt to go to "Classic Home" - was met with
You are not currently signed in to the Oracle Analytics Server.

After 27 days of trial & error and zero help from tech support ticket - a just today closed thread got me wondering if the upgrade changed settings.
Sure enough. It did.
Since we're using LDAP as primary authenticator and DefaultAuthenticator as sufficient - I wondered if these pesky settings got lost. They did. Went and got the system limping, added the two settings below and restarted.
- set DeafultAuthenticator's control flag to sufficient.
- Login to enterprise manager (host:port/em) and add "virtualize" parameter with value "true" to Identity Store Configuration.
- Restart OAS and test
