Currently, Oracle Analytics Cloud only supports difference calculations and percentage calculations across columns, not rows. This limitation causes inaccurate summations—especially when calculating metrics like (current year balance - prior year balance) / prior year balance for total percentages or when a row-based summation is required.

We request a feature that allows users to perform  difference calculations total, ratio, and percentage calculations based on row values, ensuring accurate aggregations for financial and analytical use cases.

Implementing this enhancement will offer flexibility and resolve unexpected results due to column-only calculations.

    For financial reports that provide current year/period and prior year/period comparisons as well as columns for calculated differences between the two periods and percentage differences between the two periods, subtotal and total rows should use the same logic for calculating differences and percentage differences used in the detail rows. Currently Oracle functionality is simply summing up the change and percentage change amounts from the above rows causing a gross inaccuracy in the amounts.
