Hello,

Our customer has requested the addition of employee email information in the HCM Subject Areas of FDI.

In a recent Service Request, the Oracle support team mentioned that an internal enhancement request is already open (Enh 33850532 - FAW: EMPLOYEE EMAIL ADDRESS COLUMN IN HCM) and recommended submitting this idea to help reinforce the request.

Regards,
Stefano

Absolutely agree with this request. Including employee email addresses in the HCM Subject Areas would significantly enhance reporting capabilities and streamline downstream processes. It’s great to hear that an enhancement request is already in progress, adding community support here to help prioritise it further. Thanks for raising this!

    We would also like this.

It's nice we can add it ourselves but it should really be delivered as a standard feature

Out of interest Rob F how did you go about adding the email address? Did you use the semantic model extension option?

    Hi @CF,

We used an augmentation with the BIP connection to get the current email address from Fusion and extend the worker dimension in the semantic model.

In a recent FDI community event on augmentations it seemed we might be able to do this through the Fusion connection. I didn't know how to do that at the time and this worked.

It wasn't too hard to do, is a good example to get your feet wet with data augmentations, but should probably be delivered as part of the core semantic model.

    Hope that helps
