Hello,
We would like to use Trino connections in Semantic Modeler.
Trino Starburst is very useful in the company and we have high expectations for using it in OAC Classic through a subject area.
Thank you
Thank you very much for reaching out and sharing your valuable feedback. Trino connectivity in Semantic Modeler is tentatively scheduled for release in CY 2025.
Trino connectivity in Semantic Modeler is now available.
But it doesn't work well with the hierarchy : Catalog > Schema > Table
The level Catalog is missing. So we have several schemas with the name at the same level.
And the tables are not loading.
Hi,
Does the physical layer of the semantic model under the database have a catalog, schema, and table? If the table import did not create the catalog, you can manually create the catalog and the schema in the Physical Layer as needed.
Hi, yes but it is very long to create all the tables and all the columns manually… Why the metadatas are not loading ?
Is the import working and only the catalog missing or the objects are not loading at all when you expand the connection for import?
For the first case, follow these steps.. Lets say, after import, you have Schema —> 100s of Tables directly under Physical Database. Now you want the path to be CAT1 —> Schema —> 100s of Tables. Step 1: Create the Catalog CAT1 Step 2: Cut the schema and paste on CAT1 No need to create tables manually.
When I expand my trino connection, I have directly the list of the schemas and not the catalogs.
Import is not working because I can't expand the tables under the schemas.
Is the Catalog specified in the connection?
OAS Classic Report Results display the first 5000 rows and the OAS user needs to click the next button for the next 5000 rows and so on. The 5000 row limit is the maximum allowed to be setup in the OAS Console. OBIEE Report Results support display of the entire report results data set. Our users would like this feature in…
Background We recently identified an issue through an inconsistency in the number of records returned in an API response. This allowed us to notice, after the fact, that a fix had been applied that changed the behavior of an existing API. Problem We understand that information about resolved bugs is eventually made…
We need a way for non-admin users to view the backend/physical SQL queries executed by reports (via Session and Query Logs) without granting them full administrator access. OAC's custom Application Role model (Console > Roles and Permissions) allows selecting fine-grained permissions instead of assigning predefined roles.…
Customer would like to request that IBM DB2 12.x be added as a supported data source for Oracle Analytics Server. They hope that it will be included as a certified and supported data source in the next(Year 2027 ) OAS release. Background: The customer is currently operating a reporting and analysis platform using Oracle…
We would like to restrict the MCP to certain OAC application roles instead of all the users. Please help us to achieve this functionality.
