Semantic Modeler - Use of Trino connection (Starburst)
Hello,
We would like to use Trino connections in Semantic Modeler.
Trino Starburst is very useful in the company and we have high expectations for using it in OAC Classic through a subject area.
Thank you

Hello,
Trino connectivity in Semantic Modeler is now available.
But it doesn't work well with the hierarchy : Catalog > Schema > Table
The level Catalog is missing. So we have several schemas with the name at the same level.
And the tables are not loading.

Hi,
Does the physical layer of the semantic model under the database have a catalog, schema, and table?
If the table import did not create the catalog, you can manually create the catalog and the schema in the Physical Layer as needed.0 -
Hi, yes but it is very long to create all the tables and all the columns manually… Why the metadatas are not loading ?

Is the import working and only the catalog missing or the objects are not loading at all when you expand the connection for import?
For the first case, follow these steps..
Lets say, after import, you have Schema —> 100s of Tables directly under Physical Database.
Now you want the path to be CAT1 —> Schema —> 100s of Tables.
Step 1: Create the Catalog CAT1
Step 2: Cut the schema and paste on CAT1
No need to create tables manually.0 -
When I expand my trino connection, I have directly the list of the schemas and not the catalogs.
Import is not working because I can't expand the tables under the schemas.
