OAS best Practices for HA / Failover
- can someone recommend the best practices for HA /Failover for OAS between 2 servers , Active/Active or Active/Passive
- I am trying to install a second instance over the same DB and getting an error that the STB have already been used
- Also for DR what is the recommendation if DB if Prod and DR DB are in sync and host DB connections names are name using alias

Hello,
Active/ Active, Active/ Passive is design choice, that depends on how you want to steer the traffic.
Here is blog on DR, which will gives design guidelines

Hi Alywin,
Welcome to the Oracle Analytics community and thanks for your question@I am trying to install a second instance over the same DB and getting an error that the STB have already been used
You cannot install a second OAS into the same RCU schema.
You may be confusing High Availability (HA) using scale-out as documented in the OAS Enterprise Deployment Guide or the OAS Administration Guide with Disaster Recover (DR) failover.0
