Hello All

We are migrated to 8.2 with October bundle patch. All the reports of OAS is running and working fine as expected expect the BI publisher report in OAS. We facing the problem where BI publisher Prompts are displaying in Catalog, not in the Dashboard page when it was embedded in OAS Dashboard pages.

We had cross verified the parameters in Datamodel and all are looks good.

Any solution will be much appreciate on this issue.

Thanks & Regards,
Saravanan.V.

Please try following steps and see if it works for you…

    • Edit the Dashboard
    • Remove the BI Publisher report
    • Re- add the BI Publisher Report
    • Do not use “Link” or “External Content”
    • Save and reload dashboard

    Hi RVohra,

I had tried already, it was not displaying the parameters after pulling to OAS dashboard.

Thanks for your patience and reply.

Do you have access to OAS Console, if yes then can you try log in to OAS and go to Console > System Settings.

    • Search for a setting named Analytics Publisher Reporting Toolbar Mode.
    • Check the current value. The valid options are usually 1–6.
    • Change the value to 6.
      • Value 6 specifically tells the system to "Display parameter prompts for the report in a toolbar" when embedded.
    • Click Apply (top right). You may need to wait a few minutes or restart the BI services for this to propagate.

    HI Rvohra,

In DV console —> System Settings —>Analytics Publisher Reporting Toolbar Mode—> I had made it to 6.

In instanceconfig.xml file, it was already set to 6.

    Thanks,

  • @User_N6HIU , did it work or still having the issue? Thanks

Hi, this morning we also faced same issue (after same patch was applied): 3 of our team, and 2 users.

Analytics Publisher Reporting Toolbar Mode parameter was already set to 6.

Strangely, issue disappeared when we cleared browser cache (same behavior occurred to all of us separately). But this is not a fix, we cannot tell each and every user to clear browser cache, and how can we be sure it will not happen again? thanks in advance for any thought

Make sure the BI Publisher credentials are correct in the new environment. Also, in the DV system settings, it needs to be set to 6—once that’s done, it should work. We all faced the same issue.

thanks Gopi for your comment, though BI Publisher credentials are correct, and - as reported above - the DV parameter "Analytics Publisher Reporting Toolbar Mode" was already set to 6. Thanks in advance to anybody for any idea

Do you have an identified error in the log?

    For example

[YYYY-MM-DDT14:41:53.453-04:00] [bi_server1] [ERROR] [] [oracle.xdo] [tid: 28] [userId: <anonymous>] [ecid: xxxxxxx] [APP: bipublisher#11.1.1] [partition-name: DOMAIN] [tenant-name: GLOBAL] PublicReportServiceImpl::generateReport failed: invalid request reportOutputPath parameter is disabled

Or any other error related to bipublisher?
