Hi team,

We had recently migrated to OAS 2025 with October patch, we are unable to download the rpd from the server. we used below command

./datamodel.sh downloadrpd -O RPDname [-W RPDpwd] -SI service_instance -U cred_username [-P cred_password]

error below -

Post downloadrpd REST with url: http://leuspaobi05.leinternal.com:9504/bi-lcm/v1/si/ssi/rpd/downloadrpd
Service Instance: ssi

Operation failed.
An exception (Error Executing Export Archive task : Operation Failed) occurred during execution, please check server logs for more detailed information.
System exit code: 1

Any solution/help/support will be much appreciated to resolve the issues.

Thanks,
Saravanan.V.

    Hi RVohra,

I had cross-verified, it was pointing to proper Bidata in NFS mount.

  • Thanks for the update! If issue is still not resolved, please contact Oracle Support by logging a Service Request.

  • Or, instead of raising a SR but trying to find answers in the forum, provide more details about your environment: what kind of migration was done, what's the OS, from where you are trying to execute the command etc.

And check the logs on the server: if the request did reach the server, and based on "Error Executing Export Archive task : Operation Failed" we can assume it did, the logs on the server should point you to the issue that caused the exception. The command itself only receive a general state that there was an issue, but the issue should be logged with more details on the server.

  • Agree with checking log details and more details.

You use slight different endpoint commands if you are executing this on the server where OAS is installed vs. a client machine where client tools are installed, so that detail would be helpful.

Hostname, Port Number, and Use of SSL

For server installations, the command line utility by default queries the endpoint manager which provides the host name, port number, and whether SSL is available. The user doesn't need to include these options in the command.

For client installation, you must include the S host name, N port number, and SSL, use SSL to connect to the WebLogic Server to run the command options in the commands.

    Start with

    [DOMAIN_HOME]/servers/bi_server1/logs
    managed server logs and bi-lcm-reset.log
    grep for

    'oracle.bi.lcm.rest.si.rpd.RpdEndpointV1'

    '[oracle.bi.lcm.pojo.si.rpd.RpdManager'

    'downloadrpd'

    Any internalSSL enabled?
