Password reset option in OAS for DV console users

For DV console users there is no option to reset their password. Only admin can reset users password from weblogic console. Due to sensitive data/security reasons password should be available to only end users not admin.

OAS delegates authentication to an external identity management system which should provide this functionality. The embedded Weblogic LDAP does not provide this functionality.

    OAS delegates authentication and SSO to one of the certified identity management products. It is rare to use the embedded Weblogic LDAP in a production environment and not recommended.

    If you are using an external identity system -use that product's functionality to provide a user password reset.

    OAS delegates authentication. However when traditional Oracle Reports users are converted to BIP/OAP there is no way users can reset the password.

    We come from Oracle forms/reports world where no SSO is required. Now Oracle is forcing to implement SSO. We could go with Power BI other reporting tools which has built in functionality for the users to reset the password.
