FDI - Time Dimension
Hi,
I would like to bring in data from a date table. I was going to join it with the time dimension but it does not seem possible.
Has anyone successfully customized their semantic model with data from a date table? How did you go about it.
Thank you.

Hi @Jae.L
Have you tried converting the column format? I have had issues in the past with type mismatches and had to do a CAST() to ensure they are aligned before the join would work.

Thanks @Daniel Ryan
What I am trying to achieve is join a schedule table with the time dimension in the semantic model. The end goal is so that dashboard users are able to create visuals/filters using the set dates in the schedule table. The time folder is not very helpful at this time.

@Jae.L Strange one. I have just loaded a dataset with a date and single attribute column, created a workbook and added the workforce core dataset and it created the join automatically
When the dataset created, the date was a date column type and the column names are the same so that is what I would have expected. Can you put an example of the table structure and data?
