Using Oracle Analytics Cloud to Compare ERP Adoption Trends Across Regions
1. Which dataset did you use?
I used a synthetic ERP adoption comparison dataset representing regional adoption trends of Oracle ERP and SAP ERP across geographic regions such as APAC, Asia, Europe, Middle East, and North America.
Dataset Source:
Synthetic dataset created for demonstration purposes based on publicly available ERP comparison insights and industry technology trends. The dataset was generated with the assistance of AI tools for educational analytics visualization purposes only.
The dataset includes:
• Region
• ERP Vendor (Oracle / SAP)
• Adoption Score
• Industry Strength
• Company Size Category
2. How did you analyze or prepare the data?
The dataset was prepared in Excel before being uploaded into Oracle Analytics Cloud. Data preparation included:
• Standardizing region values
• Categorizing ERP vendors
• Assigning adoption comparison scores
• Grouping regional data for visualization
• Validating data distribution for meaningful comparison
The prepared dataset was then visualized using Oracle Analytics Cloud dashboards and regional comparison charts.
3. Who is the intended audience for your visualization?
The visualization is intended for:
• ERP consultants
• Business analysts
• IT architects
• Digital transformation teams
• Oracle Analytics learners
• Technology decision makers
The dashboard demonstrates how Oracle Analytics Cloud can be used to analyze ERP adoption trends using interactive visualizations.
4. What is your visualization about, and what question or problem does it address?
The visualization compares regional adoption trends of Oracle ERP and SAP ERP to demonstrate how analytics dashboards can help identify technology distribution patterns.
It helps answer questions such as:
• Which ERP vendor shows stronger adoption in different regions?
• How does ERP adoption vary geographically?
• How can analytics help compare enterprise technology trends?
This visualization demonstrates how Oracle Analytics Cloud enables rapid insight generation from structured datasets.
5. Did you use any Oracle Analytics AI features when building your visualization?
Oracle Analytics built-in insight capabilities were used to understand data distribution patterns and validate visualizations. Visualization recommendations and automated insights helped in selecting appropriate chart types.
Oracle Analytics AI Assistant can further enhance this type of analysis through natural language queries for exploring ERP adoption patterns.
6. Did you upload your visualization image and DVA file?
Yes. The visualization image has been uploaded as part of the submission. The dashboard was developed using Oracle Analytics Data Visualization (DVA) capabilities and the required files have been included.
This visualization demonstrates practical usage of Oracle Analytics Cloud for technology comparison analytics and dashboard development.
