Hi,
I have set a canvas filter for region and I want to use the filtered value as variable in the description of a visualization.
Unfortunately, currently the approach of parameters only works for values used in drop down filters.
This does work, as usual by mapping to a parameter and using it in the title of the viz as below
I am not sure if you are using OAC or OAS - ideally believe both should be same. But I tested on OAC.
Hi @Anitha Ramarao-Oracle I am using OAS 2026,
can you guide me how to create such a parameter "Year" ?
Best,
Christopher
I haven't used OAS recently, but please do check if this is helpful https://www.youtube.com/@OracleAnalytics/search?query=parameter
Using Parameters only works for the title field, but not for the description field. We need it for the description field.

We would like to restrict the MCP to certain OAC application roles instead of all the users. Please help us to achieve this functionality.
