Installation of Oracle OBIEE11g/OBIA 7.9.6.4 on Linux and Windows

Hello All,

I am trying to do an install with 4 servers:

1. Database Server/Repo for OBIEE - Linux

2. OBIEE Server - Linux

3. Dac/Informatica Server- Linux

4. Dac/Informatica Clients - Windows

This is the way it is setup in my office.

I'm new to OBIEE and was thrown into this after a disgruntled employee left. I have learned bits and peices but want to go deeper in my knowledge, so i wanted to do an installation on my home environment and build my knowledge from there. At this time I have only installed the database and OBIEE. But im not sure what to do next. I have the apps downloaded and have gone through Oracle Documentation, but the documentation is very confusing to me. Can someone please help me in this situation?

    Hello, there is no any problem with that topology. however, nowaydas, oracle e-develiery doesnt provide the installation of OBIA 7.9.6 version if you want to do that maybe you have open a SR ( Service Request) to get the installers.

    The steps of installation is:

    1. Install Oracle Database

    2. Install RCU - OBIEE Schemas

    3. Install OBIEE Software

    4. Install the OBIA Apps

    5. Install INformatica Clients

    6. Install Informatica Server

    7, Install DAC Server

    8, Install DAC Client

    9. Configure RPD

    10. Congiure Dashboards

    11. Configure ETL
