What is wrong with this code
Hi @User_SYYDG - looks like it's your brackets 🙂 Line 1 is missing its opening ( and line 3 is missing its closing ). Try this:
(@parameter("P_SAAR_ID")('') IS NULL AND SAAR_ID = '99999999')
OR
(@parameter ("P_SAAR_ID")('') IS NOT NULL AND SAAR_ID = @parameter ("P_SAAR_ID")(''))
I've also swapped NOT ... IS NULL for IS NOT NULL, which is cleaner. If it still doesn't behave once it validates, the empty-string default might not be treated as NULL, so you could give the parameter a dummy default like '-1' and test for that instead.
Hope that helps.
That parenthesis Clare mentioned is probably your issue.
I really find that expression field to be "dumb" because they tried to make it too smart. In "Classic" it is just a text field that doesn't do anything smart. In DV it does hide the real (full) name of columns and handles 2 versions of the expression: the real one that will be saved in the JSON of the workbook and the "nice to look at" where they convert things , which also make selecting and copy/paste weird (at least for me it does select some characters off the location of my pointer on the screen).
And when it tries too hard to be smart, is often when my expression break because characters like parenthesis or new lines and indentation disappear magically…

Am I missing something or is there no way to search through previous posts to make sure I don't duplicate a question? All I see on the filter options are tags or status… a general search for a word or phrase would be helpful.
We were under the impression that when exporting a visualization in DV to CSV format hidden columns would be include from the grammar panel. This is not happening. See below for a screenshot showing 3 hidden columns that do not appear when exporting the pivot table to CSV. This seems to have worked a month or so back but…
