Presentation Variable - Dynamic Filter on different value then selection
Hello all,
I am racking my mind on this one as I believe there is a simple solution and I am just not able to find it. If anyone has created GUI in Access on a drop down list you can put two columns, the value the users sees and the value that gets passed. Can OBIEE Answers do anything like this on Presentation Variables? I am trying to pass the variable to a filter, such as 1 or 0 based on a user selection of Yes or No. I tried case statements in filters to no avail.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

What problem are you trying to solve exactly, and which OBIEE version are you asking about? Are you familiar with the description ID and "double column" feature of OBIEE? There is a good article on this here: https://www.rittmanmead.com/blog/2010/08/oracle-bi-ee-11g-handling-double-columns-iddescription-interoperability/
If you're unfamiliar, it might be worth reading to see if that is the actual problem you're trying to solve.
