How do you remove a journal from OBIA if it has been deleted in eBS
We run the OBIA load plan each morning, which picks up all changes in eBS (Release 12) since the load last ran.
If a journal has been uploaded to eBS and is unposted, then this will pass through to OBIA as unposted when the load plan runs.
If the unposted journal is then deleted from eBS, the OBIA load plan does not know that the journal has been deleted, so it always remains there as an unposted journal.
How can we remove this journal from the OBIA DW or flag this journal as a deleted journal so that users can exclude this journal from reports?
The users want to be able to include both posted and unposted journals in their reports, but do not want to include journals that have been deleted from eBS but remain in the OBIA DW as unposted.

Hi,
We have an option in BIAPPS to enable soft delete scenario. In BIACM, under data load parameters, select the source instance, in the parameter, provide "soft", then you can see soft delete parameter below. Please check if the fact group you are referring is in that group. If exists, enable that and run the load. This will mark the corresponding record DELETE_FLAG='Y'.

This looked really promising, however I cannot find my table in the Group Specify Parameter Values for Soft Delete PreProcess Enabled section. I want this to apply to Fact - Fins - GL Journals (Logical Table), which uses the W_GL_OTHER_F table.
Please can you advise if this is available for the above table?

Hi Katie,
In BIACM, under below path you can see the offerings and associated tables. Check these dimensions and enable the soft delete and check once. Not sure on this because there is no fact involved. All are dimensions. May be based on dimension data, the fact table records will be marked as N or Y. You can check by enabling it and running a full load, deleting an unposted journal and do an incremental load.
