Hi all,
Do you know if it is possible to use a Database Link in the Direct Database Request in OBIEE 11G ?
Best regards,
Ben
Depends. Does the user used in the connection pool to see, use and execute it?
Yes this is a specific request for a technical user who will be able to create and execute itself his own query with dblink
As long as the user that the connection pool uses has access to the DB link then you should be able to use it.
Sent from my iPhone
So do it It's just uninterpreted SQL that gets sent to the DB.
From the time it takes you to ask a question and receive reply, you could have tried it out and get your answer.
What? You try stuff out before asking? </sarcasm>
haha. I meant that he could try to implement db link and try it out to see if it works. </sarcasm_accepted>
ahahahh no in fact i already tried it but i received an error that's why i asked. But seems that my error was not due to OBIEE.
Thanks a lot all for your help
Fantastic. My intention was not to be mean. Glad you got it figured Ben.
Do you know if connections that do not use TLS will be affected by the September 2026 update? Regards, Alison.
