OBIA report Fiscal Period filter
In OBIA, when users apply a filter using fiscal period, they have to scroll past all previous periods (from P01-2013 to latest period) to find their required period (which are usually current / previous year periods).
Is there a way to change the view of the list of values?
i.e 1) To set default view to current & previous period (but for users to still be able to select other periods)
2) To reverse LOV to display as newest to oldest period
3) To have a year option first that users must drill through before being able to select a period.

Hi,
Create a dashboard and add the dashboard prompt and report in the dashboard.
In the dashboard prompt
1. Add year column in descending order (default the values in the options as required)
2. Add the period column and in the options --> mention limit values by --> select "Year" column.
In the report
Make Year and Period columns as "is prompted" in the report.
This will work fine..
Thanks,
Yaswanth

Hi YaswanthThanks for your reply. However I want to be able to customise the order of the filter for all users, so that when they create a new analysis / dashboard, the list of values on the filter is in a more user friendly order. This is not required for just one dashboard.
Kind regards

For point 3, venkat has given you good option.
For point 1,
you can use OOTB session variable in your default selection of prompts configuration. e.g CRRENT_MONTH
For point 2,
OBIA period colum has default sortkey defind in repository which actually sort period column from new to old. Not sure why you observe old to new here, However sortkry in RPD is worth to check to change order globally.
please mark if answered or update.
