Hi @User_HQ9TE , Please refer to this blog post: https://blogs.oracle.com/analytics/post/how-to-calculate-top-n-versus-rest-of-population-in-oracle-analytics It's about DV, but you can use the same syntax in OBIEE (Classic Analytics) as well.
-
Hi @User_HQ9TE , You have to right click on a column (or on a folder/logical table), then select the Set Icon option.
-
Hi @User_SIJJO , You could use Selection Steps (e.g. Selection Steps > Select Members > Remove) to achieve your goal. As an alternative, it should also be possible to combine results sets using the Minus operation.
-
@Rajakumar Burra I understand your point and I like your idea (I was about submitting something similar). @Bret Grinslade - Oracle Analytics-Oracle : Using RSUM as a calculation is a reasonable workaround when you have to do it only once (1 column in 1 workbook). But I would prefer a better approach for when I have to do…

Hi @M.K.Mori , I don't think repository/session variables can be referenced directly in DV data actions. Your workaround seems to be the only way to achieve your goal atm. "FROM DUAL" can't be used in logical SQL expressions, but you can reference any dataset or subject area names used in the workbook. I tried to use…

Hi @Zuhair Amjad , Which URLs are you using to access OBIEE and OAS? hostname:port/analytics or hostname:port/xmlpserver ? If you are accessing through xmlpserver, then upload/download are expected to work. Otherwise, you should use archive/unarchive.
-
Hi @Zuhair Amjad , You should use the archive/unarchive features instead of downloading/uploading the folder.

Hi @DENISKA80 , NodeManager status Inactive: this is the issue that you must fix! I recommend to stop/kill all your OBIEE processes. Then start the NodeManager manually using the startNodeManager script (do not close the command prompt otherwise NodeManager will stop). Do you get any error message? If it started properly,…
-
Hi @DENISKA80 , Are you able to access the WebLogic Administration Console as weblogic (or any other administrator)? If so, in the Domain Structure panel expand Environment > Servers > AdminServer, and check whether the SSL checkbox is ticked. Then do the same for bi_server1 to understand if SSL has been enabled or not.…
-
Hi @DENISKA80 , Has SSL been enabled? I believe that your SSL certificate expired, and you have to renew it.
-
Hi @User_Z9MDK , The documented you shared refers to OBIEE 11g to 12c migration. It's not related to OAS.
-
Hi @User_Z9MDK , You still need 11.1.1.9 to properly generate the migration bundle with all your metadata
-
Hi @User_Z9MDK , You have to upgrade to OBIEE 11.1.1.9 first, then you can migrate to the latest version of OAS: https://docs.oracle.com/en/middleware/bi/analytics-server/migrate-upgrade-oas/migrating-oracle-business-intelligence-11g.html#GUID-D0867450-1AEF-43DE-8144-7816F7105CB1

Hi @User_Z9MDK , This thread is almost 4 years old. I suggest you to create a new one, so you can properly handle the answers that you will get.
-
Hi @User_RS68A , You can either: Create an expression filter on each visualization such as YourYearColumn = @parameter("Year")(2015) or, create a dashboard filter for YourYearColumn and bind it your parameter (this option is available only on OAC)
-
Hi @User_27DEY , What changes did you apply to the localedefinitions.xml file? Are you getting a specific error message? Did you restart the full OBIEE stack after updating the file? The changes that you made from the Analysis Editor are not stored in a configuration file, but they are included in the analysis itself.
-
Hi @User_27DEY , The localedefinitions.xml file is located under the <OBIEE_HOME>/bi/bifoundation/web/display folder. OBIEE_HOME is the path were you installed your OBIEE binaries.
-
Hi @User_FD52V , OCI provides a user friendly Cost Estimator: https://www.oracle.com/cloud/costestimator.html Select "Analytics and BI" as the category, then click Load for the option you are interested in (e.g. Oracle Analytics Cloud Enterprise). For OAC, you can choose between OCPU per hour or User per Month pricing (if…
