Being pedant Mr. Berg isn't exactly an English native But details

Is Null really NULL or it's no value at all? Aggregating using LAST (not SUM etc. but LAST) and assuming your NULL is no value you will get your values.

Hi Camilo, Usage tracking will not really give you the number of logins. You can of course define what you consider a new login (when time between 2 executions is over 10-15 minutes for example), but it's just an estimate of the number of logins. For a real official count you would need to parse log files which contains…

I guess it can be a great experience even just attending. For people based in US it's easier to attend than for us from Europe
-
The user group / meetups Christian posted is the more local one. If you have some budget which can be invested into "training" (attending a conference count as highly intensive training) it's also worth to try to get approval for Kscope. Still US but moving around the country every year (next one is in Seattle in June…

Hi Alex, Honestly I'm not aware of an API / webservice giving you the same as the Admin Tool. And because the Admin Tool goes via ODBC it's encrypted with a custom protocol and never managed to "look" inside to see what it's calling to get the info
-
Not directly. The info is only available in the RPD, and the idea of "which subject area is pointing to which environment" is not as simple as you write it as a subject area come from a single business model, but the business model can use physical sources coming from multiple connection pools and of different kinds…

Well ... as long as it's more than 2 it's already a lot, but I guess it was more than 4.

Hi Owen, I'm sure the question make perfectly sense for you as you seem to have that thing in front of your eyes .... But we don't

The presentation was even better than the slides (at least I guess, we did it so many times...). It's now time to ask your employer to send you to conferences (no idea in which part of the world you are, so based on your location we can easily point you to the best ones) all paid by the company

Hi, Are you an Oracle employee? I though all the employees had to have -oracle or -orcl appended to their forum name ... More in general you may want to ask about Oracle internal processes in a private place instead of a public forum. Of course you can always signup for a 300$ free 1 month trial, but not sure it's…

The difference is more into details. One model fully works on inheritance, the cartesian one (the name is made-up). Your users will never get assigned to the "placeholders" roles (author, consumer etc.) but only get assigned to the other roles you create (by department or topic etc.). The issue with this one is that you…

In theory authenticated is only part of consumer, it's not supposed to be anywhere else or everybody would be admin or author. And yes, I would remove it as using it is, in a way, a lack of security. It represent too many people, everybody with a valid username/password. Let's imagine your LDAP/AD admin add random people…

As an addition, in case you are tempted of replacing "catalogitem" by "catalogfolder", the XSD accept only 2 values for that attribute: catalogitem and category. No idea what "category" is for, but nothing in the XSD let imagine a folder path can be used as favorite.
-
Yeah, the slides cover it. Honestly it's always a good idea to remove the authenticated role from anything else, because that one match way more than expected often (as long as username/password match you are part of authenticated). So if your BI Consumer has authenticated inside every single user in your user will always…

It never worked or it stopped working at some point? As a side note you maybe want to consider to update to a newer version as 12.2.1.1.0 isn't supported anymore ... And mainly if you never patched it you can have browser issues as almost every BP contains some fixes for browsers.

As others already said your design is suboptimal as a year is supposed to be more a prompt instead of a whole dashboard with a set of own analysis, but details ... I would just say that instead of export, search/replace and re-import as Robert suggested you can do it directly online with Catalog Manager. Make sure you…
