The existing business area is not clean in design, So we want to build the BMM layer from scratch and connect it to the subject area.

Thanks Joel, for your reply. The OLD_DB and NEW_DB are similar in data and structure. New tables and columns are added to the NEW_DB which consists of type II tables.
-
Thanks Christian, for your reply. The table names and column names are all the same in the NEW_DB compared to the OLD_DB. We do not want to use the existing business model so we want to create a new business model with the NEW_DB and connect it to the existing subject area. Is this possible?

Dear Jerry, I am able to create the RETURN button with the required functionality. Thanks you very much for the suggestion. Online resources. https://gerardnico.com/dat/obiee/obips/url_filter Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I am looking for an alternative solution using the ViewState, I will post it if I could do it.…

Hi, I am able to go back to the previous report successfully but I am unable to capture the prompts values selected in the main report when navigating back to the main report from the drill down. Thanks!
-
Yes, OBIEE gives it by default in scenario 1. However, in Scenario 2 there is no RETURN option given by default in OBIEE. Scenario 1: Create an Action to navigate to an Analysis. In this scenario, I see a "Return" option in the drill down analysis which when clicked will navigate back to the Main analysis with all the…

Thanks Jerry, for your response. Yes, please share the details. My scenario: I have an analysis in the home page and 12 dashboard prompts. When I select some prompts and hit go, I see the report filtered by the prompts. I get navigated to a different page to another report (which always displays one row depending filtering…

Is this what you are referring to hacking the "catalogue"? https://performancearchitects.com/wp/2017/02/01/how-to-use-the-xml-search-and-replace-tool-in-obiee/
-
Yes, I have the alias name. Even then the reports build with the old subject area are throwing this error when I edit them. There is no issue in running them though. And the reports which are built after the change in the subject area also throws the error some times when I edit them.

Thank You, I need to display the row count in the results. It worked.

Exactly. Oracle Business Intelligence 12.2.1.2.0 BUNDLE PATCH 12.2.1.2.180717

I apologize for the confusion. All the screen shots I have added belong to one dashboard prompt and there is no analysis. Both the message and error message belong to the same dashboard prompts (Scenario 1 and Scenario 2).
-
You are correct. These are two different screen shots. I just added to make it easier to understand. As soon as I enter abc and click on apply, only the error message appears not the prompts.

Hi Christian, Thanks for your reply and time. I agree on your thoughts on these customization's. ------------------------------------------------------------------- I want to understand why obiee's response is inconsistent for the below scenario's or am I missing something? Scenario 1: I entered a text in a numeric field.…

I do not want the end user to see this error message. I want to know if we can customize the error message something like "Please enter a valid number" If we see in the first case where I did not select the "Limit values by" it shows a message "Is not a valid number" I am expecting something like this.
-
Sure, thanks.

Thanks for your response.
