Hi Gianni, thanks for taking the time to respond, I'm talking about OBIEE Analyses that use Answers Subject areas: Financials - AP Transactions Procurement & Spend - Invoice Lines These are the main culprits of poor performance. All I'm looking for really is for detail of what exactly happens when an extra global currency…

Hi Aiswara, the link you left is the link I provided to the developers to show that the change DOES in fact add volume to WH tables. I do not have access to nor did I make the change to BIACM, and will that show me that the change affects the WH tables? I'm just looking for confirmation of how this change works, so I can…

OK I've fixed this now by simply adding a filter for 'Is Prompted' OR 'IS NULL'. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in one idea you can't see the wood for the trees. I'm still intrigued as to why this (Thoroughly messy I know) formula doesn't operate?

Hi Joel. Visualisation has been considered as a potential future solution but the sheer volume of data and the lack of trust in the end users is preventing the business from wanting to move forward with it at this point. Thanks for your help though.

Perfect, thank you!

Hi, Standard functionality doesn't allow you to conditionally hide a Dashboard Page or Subpage. You can, however conditionally hide a dashboard section. Would it work for you if your dashboard section contained a link to a hidden dashboard page/Subpage, so the section would show when your criteria is met? Hidden dashboards…

Hi Thomas, What would you suggest is "The proper Tool". I see this answer a lot on this forum though I've not seen anyone give recommendation? Serious question, not goading just struggling to articulate without coming across as facetious. Cheers,

Hi there, Apologies this wasn't successful though I thought at least the logic may help. Do you see what I was trying to do? If you can find a Timestamp for the start date plus the number of months of service then you have the timestamp to look for the TIMSTAMPDIFF for the number of days between that timestamp and today.…

Couldn't agree more. I know users who reconcile GL at item level just incase an item has been booked against the wrong code, and they do this EVERY MONTH. Trying to explain exception reporting is doing the proverbial into the wind. I'll get there with them in the end, fingers crossed. It could be the browser though I had a…

Thanks Robert, I have done that elsewhere actually and it would work quite well here - It's a trial balance Pivot so I can subtotal on the substring which would please the users enough to forget about the table resetting If anyone has the Cause or fix though it would be appreciated. Cheers,

Hi, I had a quick go at your issue and I think your month calculation might be wrong too (It looked a bit spurious in my test) What I tried to do was achieve timestamps to calculate the date that the number of years plus months from the start date (in my example invoiced date) to then calculate the number of days between…

Yeah thanks for that, I'll close this post and keep an eye on the other. PS. you may not have taken note to the bold type ;-)

I've had the same for both issues very recently following moving to a Production BI environment for reports that never had issues in test. The former issue you have as mentioned it's worth checking the log, in my instance a distinct select on a huge table was making everything else queue so conditions weren't evaluating…

Okay will do, thanks for your help!

Cheers, I've changed my username following signing up today, I'm assuming it just hasn't refreshed?
-
And doesn't BIP limit to 70 columns?
-
A report being cumbersome to edit due to the size and it refreshing after every change has no bearing on the performance of the report to the end user. I totally advocate that a report with 100+ columns is probably not going to be particularly effective for Enterprise Reporting but if that is the requirement given then…

I have other conditional settings on other Dashboard pages within, these are not affected by the same issue, so the issue seems to lie with the fact that the conditions are on 2 subpages of one Dashboard Page, if I separate the subpages into Dashboard header pages this will solve my problem but they're subpages for a…

Thanks Robert, that has helped though unfortunately not solved the problem entirely. The Reports on Page 2 now respond to the correct Prompt when I change the Radio Button, though the page still loads with the condition set in Page 1. Thanks, Lee

When creating a large report I find that it runs a lot smoother if you hide the report output by clicking on "Display Results" Icon within the view editor screen (Third from the Right)
