Ivan - not sure I fully understand your request, so hopefully what I am answering helps you :) In the Criteria tab, when you have a selected column with the formulas you want built, you can save that column for use in other reports. You can then bring that field into your report, but would do it from your catalog and not…

Thank you! I updated my post to ensure that I captured the answers as I saw your post too late to mark for best answer. I appreciate your knowledge!!

Yes - this is exactly the problem ... sigh, such little things tripping me up!!

Hi Shawn - thank you so much for this! I did not know that this option existed. OK, so I tried it (on my Person Number field) and am getting an error: oracle.xdo.servlet.data.DataException: oracle.xdo.XDOException: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00920: invalid relational operator The data type for my field is…

Shawn, I know how to adjust text to menu, what I am experiencing is that when it's a menu, the user cannot type in their own options ... they have to select from the menu options. When it's a text box, it sees Human Resources;Information Technology as "Human Resources;Information Technology" and not as Human Resources OR…

Thank you Arun - I am comfortable with how to set the report default format, but I need to know how to change it once and not every time I create a report though, see screenshot. Sorry I wasn't more clear earlier.

I think the original poster is referring to Fusion, do you know if there are the same type of deep linking options available for Fusion? I would love to see the possibility of this as I would use this for many of our reports
-
OH OK, that's slightly different then! While the option below works for clicking the link and pushing people into the Recruiting tool, it does it within the same window (could not find a way to have it open in a new window) and removes people from reporting. However, if you are only looking for the link in the output, then…

Hi - there is a support doc that provides information on how to do this: 2063826.1. Do you have access to pull this document? The link for the Submission is going to be: https://%CompanyName%.taleo.net/enterprise/publicurl/viewApplication?applicationNumber={1} Here were the instructions provided: * Access Oracle Business…

Thank you Shakher - I appreciate the information and will read through all of these.
-
Shakher - thank you! Is there a way to read more about Bursting? I have heard people mention this before, but in reading the documentation it's a little more technical, so wasn't sure if there was a Bursting for Dummies? :)
-
Thanks Ashish - I'll keep thinking!
-
Amazing - cannot even tell you how much time/stress you've just saved us. Such a great win!!
-
OK! Thank you to you both for the information provided. Looks like the the reports would be open to everyone due to the security we are currently using, so looks like it will be My Folders and archive/unarchive catalog sharing :) Thank you!

Stephanie - silly question, but is the font set to that color so it looks like a hyperlink but isn't working like one? Sadly, I have had that happen before, thus the question :)
-
Hi Necol - I am not aware of any way to do this, I think Oracle recommends that we back-up our reports regularly. However, I believe once I heard that they could do a find/replace, but just wasn't sure if this was a replace your whole environment thing or a special request or myth :)

Hi Rosenerie - can you use the field 'Is Most Recent' as a filter?
-
Amrit - is it possible to assign a role and prevent them from downloading any reports?
-
Exactly this! Wish that was the default and not always something we have to turn on. Curious ... why would the current default be set this way?

Hi all - circling back to my original post ... I found out that when you add the report to the dashboard from the Catalog (vs adding as a link through the embedded content dashboard object), it will look like this. I've been told this is what you want to use when you are using OTBI prompts for your report. Now I know, now…
