Dear User 3468775, To elaborate what Mr. Berg has already said, you will have to create a new AD Group in LDAP and add all users whom you want to give access to OBIEE. Refine your queries in CONSOLE to pull only users from this newly created group and you are all set. Mainly you will have to update the USER BASE DN.

Also, you need to check the specific logs to get the reason why these services were stopped.

Can you please paste the log file as well?

The structure that you have designed is a very complex one. Usually, when we refer DOMAIN, it means each and every component under USER_PROJECTS/DOMAINS/<DOMAIN_NAME> folder (Admin Server, BI_Server, config files, scripts, etc). In your case as you have separated the domain components, so I am not sure how you will bring…

Can you also share the folder structure for both NAS and node1/node2?

Dear USer, Please provide more details so that we can check and try to help you...

I'm not getting how you have installed just the Admin Server on the NAS... Sorry to ask again, but can you get a screenshot of the NAS location for all the folders related to OBIEE installation?

Dear User, If the question is answered and you are satisfied, kindly mark the thread as closed.

Hello Masu, What exactly do you mean by "Administration Server is on shared storage(NAS)."? Is your domain home on the NAS? We do have a similar setup, just we have installed everything on the primary server.

Dear Kavya, As the error clearly states " There are multiple valid oracle instance to choose from Verify command-line arguments are correct " You will have to investigate and find out what your OracleHome variable is set to. You will have to first correct the same and then try it out once again.

Completely agreed sir... However, I have seen cases where the developers have restricted access to RPD and is not possible to access it. These workarounds are for such scenarios only... Knowing the workarounds can serve quick needs, but should be followed in dire need, else we should always go for the correct process,…

Happy to help ...

Dear aPsikus, Do you have privilege to create a new table? If yes, please create a new table with just 1 column and populate that column with some sequence (ROWNUM - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and so on) Create your dummy report using this column, apply a filter on this column using your presentation variable (this should be a valid…

Dear USER 3601907, You can write a "SQL RESULTS" for the column on which you want to apply sort as below:

Got the solution... I was using the latest Java (JAVA 10), which was the reason for failure of these services. The certification matrix should be updated as it just says Java 8 131+...

Hello, Can you give some example of what you are trying to do?

Hi, Is the login-user the owner of the catalog object? If no, please try to take the ownership and then try to set the permission. Also, if there is an option to get the Admin user, please try from that user as well.
