I am new to this tool. I have some basic questions. I sis my research but could not find clear answer.

Can i connect a relational table as source  and target for a FDM application. Relational source is not eBS or other applications, just a relational table. I would like to load same data from one relational table to another table using FDM. I am looking at wrong tool? Which adapter do i need to use? Is ERPI source adapter ? Which target adapter?

Can can somebody please suggest? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

If you are new to this tool, you should know that FDM will not be released from 11.1.2.4.

It is replaced by FDMEE which is already available in 11.1.2.3.

In any case, you can extract data from relational db using an integration script. FDM does not load data to a non Hyperion EPM target db but you could it get it working using custom script.

    Regards

As Franscisco mentioned to import from a source table, you would use a SQL integration script.  There is a sample of this in the FDM Administrator Guide.

For loading to a target DB Table, you would use the Data Mart adapter which would allow for the data to be extracted to a flat file, which you could then import into any target source you wish.
