Hello,

I have searched Google and have not found an answer, so I decided to post here. I am trying to figure out how to add a block of static text on a page. On the pages I create, I would like to insert blocks of static text between page items and if at all possible to change the color of the font and/or bold the text. I tried a Display Only page item and used the Source set as Static and entered my text in the text box. This was a hack and did not really look nice on the page.

This would be similar to the text display on the Start a discussion that says text followed by a the rich text editor.

"Have you searched to see if a similar question has already been posted and answered? Have you checked the FAQ and read the Community Posting Etiquette?

What are you trying to accomplish or solve? Describe problem in detail and include any errors and how you arrived at the errors. Please provide product name and version numbers.

A picture is really useful, but please also include the necessary details and code (if applicable) for members to try to reproduce the issue. Do not include any personal or confidential company information."

Any advice will be greatly appreciated,

Bob K

Use multiple (sub)regions with the static text included in the source Text, Header Text, and Footer Text properties.

    • Change the region Style template option to remove unwanted headings and borders.
    • Use the Item Display Position property to control whether the source text is displayed above or below the region's items.

Item-level Pre Text and Post Text is less likely to be useful as it appears after the item label and APEX fights to keep it on the same line as the item. Custom CSS is required to modify this behaviour.

Also items Inline Help Text,  Pre Text and Post Text may be useful for you.

In Pre and Post Text you can also use Shortcuts
