ZFS Mirror root disk

Our brand new T3-1 server came with Solaris pre-installed, though the system came with two disks, only one was used. So what would be the best solution? A) via zpool add the second disk as a mirror? or Create a raid mirror first(thus wiping the system) and reinstall Solaris with ZFS?
