The following enhancement has been made to Oracle Infinity Streams:


Geographical Augmentation Data Update

Infinity's geographical data augmentation service has been updated with the latest data. This means that values of parameters in the “ext.geo.” family may change slightly as new mappings have been added, names of places are updated to reflect changes in the world, and corrections to errors and misspellings in previous data sets have been corrected. These files are regularly updated to ensure that you are operating with the latest information. Since it is possible that the "ext.geo." parameters values can change, you should check any segments or queries you have configured if they are based on specific place names or other geo-data values.


In addition to updating the existing geographical parameter values, the following new parameters are available for use in segments, metrics, and Infinity Streams queries, for example:


Parameter Name, Description, and Example

ext.net.asn

Autonomous System Number (ASN) – This number is used to identify a collection of connected IP routing prefixes on the internet. These numbers are assigned by IANA.

ext.net.asnname

ASN friendly name – This name typically identifies the entity responsible for administering an ASN.

"ext.net.asnname":"oracle corporation"


ext.geo.mdt

Metropolitan Division Title (MDT) – This is a friendly name for a Metropolitan Statistical Area - DMA/MSA in the US, UK ITV Region, or French ‘Department’. It identifies a metropolitan area that an IP belongs to (if available).

ext.geo.mdc

Metropolitan Division Code (MDC) – This is a numerical reference to a Metropolitan Statistical Area- DMA/MSA in the US, UK ITV Region, or French ‘Department’. Each code is uniquely linked to an MDT.

ext.geo.slang

Secondary Language – This is a list of languages associated with a geographical region.

ext.geo.zipext

Postal Code Extension – This is an extension to standard postal codes that targets smaller areas than standard postal code does (the “+4” part of a Zip+4 address).

Time Zone Name

ext.geo.country_confidence

Country Confidence – This value is a confidence percentage for an associated Country lookup.

City Confidence - This value is a confidence percentage for an associated City lookup.

ext.geo.region_confidence

Region Confidence - This value is a confidence percentage for an associated Region lookup.

Postal Confidence - This value is a confidence percentage for an associated Zip Code lookup.
