Cycle-time Measurement – Multiple Opening Requisitions

How are companies measuring cycle-time on requisitions when multiple openings exist?  Specifically, when positions are added after the requisition was originally opened.   Do you create a new requisition or add them to the existing req to take advantage of the candidate pool?  Please let me know.
