Can a user change their own account/profile info?

Hello,

does anyone know which user permissions have to be granted for the users to be able to change the information in their own profiles/accounts?

I tried to change the address and e-mail on 'My Profile' page and when I clicked on submit, I got a message: "You are not authorized to view this page. Please contact your administrator."

Any help greatly appreciated.
