Views within the Webtop

Hi,  I am trying to find the best way that a team leader could go into their webtop and easily view their teams' overdue tasks.  Has anyone had this requirement and found a way to satisfy it?  Also, if I wanted to search for a particular candidate and see what their next task was, is there a cleaner way of doing it other than finding them on the list of candidates and scrolling through their steps to see which one is in progress?
