E-signature fields are locked

We currently use a secondary application flow tied to a single requisition with an e-signature.  Recently, candidates can update the information in the application flow, but can no longer update the e-signature.  We put a ticket in with Oracle and they responded that once the e-signature fields are completed, they are in essence, locked for editing.  This hasn't always been the case for us...

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to make those fields editable?  (We are on 12B.8.2)
