OB - binding dropdown fields

Is it possible yet to have OB forms with dropdowns and bind them to picklist fields w/in the TBE database? We need this to facilitate integration with our HRIS system. If we don't use dropdowns new employees can input anything they want into the text fields, causing an error when words don't match what's in the HRIS fields. Any suggestions would be appreciated for how to accomplish this if the functionality is not there yet w/in TBE.
