Non - Required Video Training

I am new to the learn center and preparing a soft role out for my org....looking for some advice.

I am looking to map some video trainings to groups of users, make them optional but be able to track the employees progress.  Is a learning plan my best bet?

Also - Is there a dynamic option for learning plans?  or do they just fall into my "required training? category when they are assinged to the user?

Credit system -  Can I assign credits to learning plans or web based trainings? I would love to have easily accesible videos for my employees, to take at their own leisure but track them and give added incentives for those who get a large number of "credits"?
